World Record: Extreme Unicycling with Lutz Eichholz

A fearless unicyclist smashed the world record for the highest ever descent by riding down an Iranian mountain measuring more than 5600 metres.

Intrepid Lutz Eichholz battled temperatures between -7 and 40 degrees and altitude sickness to ride down the 5671m tall Mount Damavand.

The 28-year-old German was joined by a local guide and video team to beat the record of highest mountain descended by unicycle.

Unfortunately, one of his crew broke a leg and another suffered severe altitude sickness before they even had a chance to start the descent.
