Mini Tornado at the Rose Bowl


The Rose Bowl is the longest standing Bowl Game in college football history. The game is traditionally played on January 1st and brings in thousands to participate in fun, family-friendly pre-game activities, watching the Rose Bowl parade, or attending the game itself.

This year, the weather during pre-game festivities definitely brought attention to the Bowl a bit earlier than usual. Pre-game festivities are held throughout the Pasadena, CA venue and its surroundings.

A dust devil blew through part of the Rose Bowl fan area on Wednesday, tossing tents into the air and sending fans fleeing in all directions. The mini tornado-like gust, which was caught on film, knocked over at least two people. Four people suffered minor injuries.
