A spectacular video trailer shows the rebuild of the Fiat S76 land speed record car from 1911 and the firing up of its 28 liter engine after 100 years.
The video is a trailer of a full length film, scheduled for February 2015, that will cover the history of that period and tell the amazing story of the Fiat S76 rebirth after 100 years and a 10-year restoration.
The S76 was powered by a four cylinder engine with a displacement of over 28 litres. It is believed to be one of the largest – if not the largest – car engine ever built. The S76 is 3.75 meters long and 1.30 meter wide, and has a total weight of 1,650 kg. The engine has a power output of 290 hp at 1,900 rpm.
